On the Island of Koshima, Japan in 1952, scientists who were observing macaques placed sweet potatoes in the sand. The macaques liked the taste of the sweet potatoes, but not the sand. They began washing the sweet potatoes; & the practice grew through observation & repetition. Once the so-called “100th Monkey” was washing the sweet potatoes, all the monkeys, even ones on neighboring islands, were doing so.
100th Grease Monkey applies the 100th Monkey “collective consciousness” concept to collecting vegetable oil (VO) as fuel ("grease" has been a moniker for waste cooking oil, perhaps prior to general knowledge of its true potential, and we like the name). Through the distribution & service of our proprietary point-source processing VO fueling stations complete with credit/debit fuel pump at commissaries, factories, farms & restaurants, we aim to make it easier for any driver with a VO converted Diesel vehicle to fuel up on renewable, carbon-neutral, emission-reduced, economical, inherently decentralized & hereby standardized true VO diesel fuel.
Decentralizing Our Fueling Infrastructure; One Vegetable Oil Source at a Time
To produce, standardize, promulgate, promote, & broker a decentralized, economical, emission reduced, carbon neutral fuel (Waste Vegetable Oil; WVO or Straight Vegetable Oil; SVO) to be conveniently sold behind food establishments & used in rural areas worldwide while providing the first market incentive for the reduction of hydrogenated oil in our food supply & employing US Veterans in assembling, deploying, & servicing the automated VO refining/retail stations Stateside.
We make restaurants more money than they do now with their waste cooking oil while saving drivers in fuel costs. The Flowtration Station refines and retails the oil right at the restaurant to VO-conversion-retrofitted Diesel vehicles, with no bother to restaurant operations and all machine costs and restaurant profits covered by the sale.
With the help of Veterans Green Bus and Community Rehabilitation Providers (CRPs) starting with Work, Inc., we aim to employ as many Veterans as possible to deploy and service our stations from hundreds of CRP hubs nationwide.
Our stations do not allow hydrogenated oil, as it will clog our filtration system just as fast as it clogs your arteries, since it is too thick at typical temperatures to process into fuel. If restaurants need to purchase non-hydrogenated cooking oil, we will soon have non-hydrogenated non-GMO options available.
The refining and retailing of waste cooking oil (waste vegetable oil, WVO; or VO) fuel at point source restaurants with the Flowtration Station dramatically reduces the emissions of the entire waste oil hauler / renderer / transporter / biodiesel blender / transporter / petroleum mixer / transporter / petroleum retailer loop by processing and vending the oil in the same place; making it the single least polluting biofuel on the planet.
Additionally, with restaurants selling VO fuel, our model dramatically reduces Fats Oils Greases (FOG) issues, as restaurants now have a profit motive to refrain from pouring waste cooking oil down the drain. Since it requires no chemical processing at all and is derived from plants, Vegetable Oil Fuel:
